What to Do If Your Tooth Has Been Knocked Out or Broken
If you one of your teeth has been knocked out, carefully pick it up by the crown and gently rinse it in water. Do not scrub the tooth. If you can reinsert the tooth in its socket, do so; if not, place it in a cup of milk. Call us immediately, and please bring your tooth with you to your emergency appointment.
If you have a broken tooth, rinse out your mouth with warm water. Your face may begin to swell. This swelling can be controlled with the application of a cold compress.
