In recognition of Dr. David Silverstrom and Dr. Gary Silverstrom of the Smiles ForLifeProgram.
“It feels so much better to just smile and feel more confident. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, it is so deeply, deeply appreciated. I don’t know how to express the gratitude that I feel and the kindness that I feel when I come here. It’s just amazing,” 2016 Smiles for Life Awardee.

On Sunday, November 18th the American Cancer Society will host the 39th Annual Diamond Ball, Impact From Every Angle, at the Westmount Country Club in Woodland Park, NJ.

The Society and Diamond Ball Planning Committee are proud to announce The Silverstrom Group as the recipient of the 15th Annual Jody A. Morrow Humanitarian Award. Jody A. Morrow was a dedicated volunteer of the American Cancer Society from 1993 until losing her battle with cancer in 2003. Jody was a warm, compassionate and courageous person who, through her unselfish gift of time, energy and devotion to the Society’s Diamond Ball, helped enrich the lives of countless others. This Award was designed to honor individuals and organizations who personify the inspiring traits that made Jody so very special, including her dedication to the fight against cancer.

Inspired to donate their medical expertise, Dr. David Silverstrom and Dr. Gary Silverstrom established the Smiles for Life Award in 2014. Each year The Silverstrom Group bestows a cosmetic dental makeover worth $25,000 to a cancer survivor. The ravages of radiation therapy and chemotherapy destroy the mouth. The Smiles for Life Award rehabilitates mouth functionality, restores confidence and renews self-esteem—truly creating a smile that speaks volumes. Each year the Smile Reveal takes place at the American Cancer Society’s Diamond Ball.

This year marks The Silverstrom Group’s 5th Annual Smiles for Life Award, and Drs. David and Gary have chosen two cancer survivors to receive a smile makeover! It is a true honor for the American Cancer Society and the Diamond Ball Committee to present the 15th Annual Jody A. Morrow Humanitarian Award to The Silverstrom Group. This award recognizes their unwavering commitment to helping their community in addition to their continued and generous sponsorship of the American Cancer Society.

Please consider supporting The Silverstrom Group by underwriting one of our many sponsorship opportunities, purchasing a congratulatory advertisement, or attending the event. From developing breakthrough therapies to building supportive communities, from providing empowering resources to deploying activists to raise awareness; your support will allow the Society to attack cancer from every angle.
